HEAVY BLOWS WARNED: Prime Minister Vows Continued Strikes on Hezbollah Infrastructure and Escalated Responses
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a major victory over Hezbollah, declaring that Israeli forces have destroyed the group’s largest terror fortress beneath the Beaufort Ridge and Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon. “We have achieved another huge victory over Hezbollah,” he said, describing the site as a vast underground complex built over two decades with Iranian funding that served as a command center packed with weapons stockpiles. The IDF operation used more than 1,100 tons of explosives to demolish over five kilometers of tunnels. Netanyahu framed the strike as a critical step in securing Israel’s northern border.
He made clear that Israel’s policy remains unchanged: forces will continue to eliminate terror infrastructure inside the southern Lebanon security zone and remove every threat to the state. Addressing Israel’s enemies directly, Netanyahu warned that any future attack would be met with even heavier blows. “There is still work to complete, and with God’s help, we will complete it,” he added. The announcement leaves open questions about the full extent of remaining Hezbollah networks in the area, how quickly further operations will follow, and whether the warning will deter renewed cross-border aggression.
