The soldier severely wounded in today's terror attack, Neriah Dov ben Chana, is the son of the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter.
Neria previously lost his brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, Hy"d, who fell in battle during the war against Hamas in Gaza.
The terrorist who carried out the attack, identified as 29-year-old Muhammad Mahmoud Suleiman from the Beit Ur area, was neutralized at the scene.
