WATCH: Yeshiva Bochurim Take to the Skies With Satmar Philanthropist Yoeli Landau
A group of yeshiva bochurim got an unusual break from their regular routine when prominent Satmar philanthropist Reb Yoeli Landau took them for a ride aboard a helicopter in the United States.
Video circulating from the outing shows Landau and the bochurim around the helicopter before taking to the skies. The footage quickly drew attention in Haredi circles, offering a lighthearted glimpse of the special outing.
Landau has become a well-known figure across the Haredi world through his philanthropy and involvement with Torah institutions and communal causes. Although affiliated with Satmar, he has developed relationships across a broad range of Chassidish and Litvish communities.
Aircraft have also featured prominently in some of Landau's more publicized activities. In 2025, he placed his private aircraft at the disposal of the Gerrer Rebbe for an overseas fundraising mission on behalf of yeshivos in Eretz Yisroel, and earlier this year he arrived by helicopter for a visit to the rebuilt beis medrash in Kerestir, where he subsequently pledged funding toward the project.
This time, however, the flight was considerably more informal, with a group of young bnei yeshiva getting the opportunity to experience a helicopter ride alongside the well-known philanthropist.
