A joyous scene unfolded at the airport as Vizhnitz Chassidim broke into spirited dancing following their return from a special journey to Eretz Yisrael, which brought hundreds of Chassidim and bachurim across the Atlantic for a week of Torah, tefillah and visits to mekomos hakedoshim.

The journey, led by the Vizhnitz-Monsey Rebbe, concluded Wednesday night as the Rebbe departed Eretz Yisrael for his residence in the United States following a week-long visit. Shortly before heading to Ben Gurion Airport, the Rebbe paid a farewell visit to the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe in Yerushalayim.

The unusual journey had been in preparation for months and was centered around hundreds of bachurim who had distinguished themselves in their Torah learning.

Two charter aircraft were arranged to transport hundreds of participants from the United States to Eretz Yisrael, with the journey culminating in a special Shabbos spent in Meron near the tziyun of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.

During the days that followed, the Rebbe and Chassidim traveled to additional mekomos hakedoshim across the Galil and made further stops as the special week continued.

Preparations for the journey were extensive. Organizers even established a special check-in and security-processing area at the Vizhnitz-Monsey Beis Medrash complex before departure, allowing the participating bachurim to complete much of the process before reaching the airport.

The Rebbe's return to the United States brings the week-long journey to a close, with the airport dancing capturing the simcha surrounding the conclusion of the special trip.
