As the month of Elul continues, the sound of the shofar is once again being heard in shuls and batei medrash across Jewish communities, carrying its timeless call to teshuvah ahead of the Yamim Noraim.

Throughout Elul, the shofar serves as a reminder of the approaching Rosh Hashanah and the special avodah of these days — a time for Yidden to reflect, strengthen their connection to Hashem and prepare themselves for the new year.

The familiar sound takes on renewed meaning as Klal Yisrael enters the final weeks leading toward Rosh Hashanah and the beginning of the Yamim Noraim.
