Massive Explosion Rocks Essex as Fertilizer Blast Destroys Fire Engines

A large explosion ripped through an industrial unit in Rettendon, Essex, on July 24, turning a building fire into a major incident that shook homes up to 15 miles away. The blast was triggered by fertilizer stored inside one of the units as the initial fire took hold and rapidly spread to multiple buildings and a nearby field.
