Several villages in Thailand’s Sing Buri province have been submerged after flood barriers along the Chao Phraya River gave way following intense rainfall on November 10, 2025. The collapse of the barriers unleashed surging waters that quickly inundated homes, roads, and farmland, leaving residents stranded and communities cut off.

The recent downpour, which affected multiple central provinces, overwhelmed existing flood defenses, highlighting vulnerabilities in the region’s infrastructure. Authorities have mobilized emergency teams to assist affected villagers, providing temporary shelters, relief supplies, and monitoring further risks as river levels remain dangerously high.

Local residents reported the sudden rise of water sweeping through streets and fields, forcing many to evacuate with only essential belongings. The flooding has caused significant damage to homes, property, and agricultural land, compounding the challenges already posed by seasonal rains.

Officials warned that additional rainfall could exacerbate conditions, urging residents to stay alert and follow safety advisories. The incident underscores the ongoing need for reinforced flood management systems and improved emergency preparedness to mitigate the impact of extreme weather events in Thailand’s central provinces.
