The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its troops swiftly neutralized two terrorists attempting to attack Israeli civilians with Molotov cocktails late last night. The incident occurred during an ambush operation conducted by Unit 636 under the Binyamin Brigade in the Jadirah area of Judea and Samaria.
According to the IDF, soldiers monitoring the area identified two individuals igniting and throwing Molotov cocktails toward a central civilian road — a major route frequently used by Israeli motorists. Within seconds, the attackers were neutralized before they could cause harm. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the exchange.
The IDF described the operation as a precise and preemptive action designed to protect civilian lives. “The troops acted with professionalism and speed, eliminating an imminent threat to innocent Israelis,” an IDF spokesperson said. “Our forces remain alert and committed to defending Israeli civilians against acts of terror wherever they occur.”
Molotov cocktail attacks have become a recurring tactic used by Palestinian assailants attempting to target Israeli vehicles and patrols in Judea and Samaria. Such assaults are often carried out under the cover of darkness and can have deadly consequences if not intercepted in time.
The ambush, planned as part of ongoing counterterrorism measures in the region, underscores Israel’s continued vigilance against threats to its population. The Binyamin Brigade and its reconnaissance units, including Unit 636, are responsible for monitoring terrorist activity and preventing attacks on roads connecting Israeli communities.
The IDF reaffirmed its determination to maintain security in the area and prevent further escalation. “Any attempt to harm Israeli civilians will be met with immediate and decisive action,” the military emphasized.
By neutralizing the attackers before they could inflict harm, the IDF once again demonstrated its readiness and precision in protecting Israel’s citizens from ongoing terrorist threats.
