VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. — Dramatic night vision aerial footage has captured the full scale of the Canyon Fire, which is tearing through parts of Ventura County.

The fast-moving wildfire has scorched more than 4,800 acres, forcing evacuations in the Lake Piru area and threatening homes and infrastructure. Firefighters are working tirelessly on the ground and in the air to slow the blaze’s advance, but strong winds and dry conditions continue to fuel its rapid spread.

Authorities say containment remains a challenge as crews battle flames in rugged terrain. Residents have been urged to follow evacuation orders and remain alert for updates as the firefight intensifies.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
