IDF Nets Over 200 Terror Suspects in Massive Judea and Samaria Sweep

The IDF carried out a sweeping counterterrorism campaign across Judea and Samaria over the past week, conducting dozens of operations that resulted in the arrest of more than 200 wanted suspects, the military announced. Among those apprehended were individuals involved in inciting and promoting terrorism, operatives affiliated with Hamas, arms dealers, and, critically, a suspect who intelligence indicated was actively planning an imminent terrorist attack. The scale of the operation, spanning hundreds of locations across the territory, reflects the ongoing intensity of Israel's efforts to root out threats even as fighting continues on other fronts.

Troops seized a substantial cache of weapons and materials during the sweep, including components used to manufacture arms, airsoft weapons, hunting rifles, a pistol, and an unmanned aerial vehicle, along with tens of thousands of shekels in funds intended to finance terrorist activity. Perhaps most critically, soldiers located and safely dismantled five explosive devices before they could be deployed against Israeli civilians or troops, preventing what could have been deadly attacks. The IDF also confirmed that as part of the operation, forces mapped the homes of two Palestinian terrorists involved in a deadly attack last weekend near Nablus, and moved forward with sealing one of the homes ahead of its planned demolition.

Military officials framed the operation as part of Israel's ongoing, proactive approach to counterterrorism in Judea and Samaria, emphasizing that intelligence-driven raids remain essential to preventing attacks before they happen rather than simply responding after the fact. With Hamas-affiliated operatives, arms traffickers, and bomb-makers among those detained, the IDF signaled that security forces will continue conducting similar large-scale sweeps as long as threats persist in the region, regardless of the demands of simultaneous operations elsewhere in the broader conflict.
