Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Israel’s air force carried out a significant strike on multiple Houthi targets in Sana’a as part of Operation "Passing Package." According to Katz, more than a dozen aircraft attacked several military camps, including a site tied to the Houthi General Staff.
Katz said the strikes “eliminated dozens of Houthi terrorists” and destroyed stockpiles of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ammunition. He framed the operation as a direct response to threats against Israel, repeating his warning: “As I promised yesterday — whoever harms us will be harmed sevenfold.”
Israeli officials describe the operation as precision strikes aimed at degrading the Houthis’ military capabilities and preventing future attacks. Targets cited by the defense minister included command facilities, weapons depots and training camps — locations military planners say are central to the group’s operational capacity.
Independent confirmation of casualties and the full extent of damage has not yet been released by Houthi authorities or independent monitors. The strikes are likely to heighten regional tensions and could prompt diplomatic reactions from states and organizations monitoring the Yemen conflict.
