Emirates has announced a major technological milestone, confirming that SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet system will be installed across its entire fleet of 232 aircraft by mid-2027. The decision marks one of the largest commercial aviation connectivity upgrades ever undertaken and further affirms the global demand for American-led innovation in satellite communications.

The airline has already completed installation on a Boeing 777, with the first Starlink-equipped commercial flight scheduled for November 23, 2025. Starlink will be offered to all passengers at no additional cost—an unprecedented shift in an industry where inflight Wi-Fi has long been slow, unreliable, and often expensive.

Emirates stated that customers will be able to stream high-resolution content, make voice and video calls, play online games, work remotely, and browse the internet without interruption. The system allows simultaneous use on both seatback screens and personal devices, dramatically raising the standard for global inflight connectivity.
