Former Pentagon official Michael Rubin has issued a stark warning to U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Pakistan’s military leadership.

In a pointed statement, Rubin described Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, as “Osama bin Laden in a suit,” suggesting that no concessions from Washington would alter Munir’s ideology or that of the Pakistani elite he represents.

“There will be no amount of concession that will be given to Pakistan that is going to change the ideology of Asim Munir or the Pakistani elite he represents,” Rubin said.

The remarks come amid ongoing debates in Washington over U.S. relations with Pakistan, particularly concerning counterterrorism efforts, military aid, and the country’s geopolitical role in South Asia.

Pakistani officials have not yet responded to Rubin’s comments, but analysts note that such rhetoric could further strain relations between Islamabad and Washington at a sensitive diplomatic juncture.
