A large compound belonging to the Basij forces in Tabriz was also among the targets. The Basij, a paramilitary volunteer organization linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, plays a central role in internal security operations and in supporting military mobilization during times of conflict. The destruction or damage of such facilities can significantly affect the regime’s capacity to mobilize auxiliary forces.
