A fierce fire tore through the roof of an apartment building in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air on Sunday.

Chopper 2 aerial footage showed flames engulfing the upper section of the building as firefighters worked urgently to contain the blaze. While officials confirmed there were no reports of injuries, several residents are expected to be displaced as a result of the damage.
