Vice President JD Vance is urging Democratic leaders to take a firm stance against political violence, following two high-profile incidents that have shaken the nation.

The first involved a deadly sniper attack at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, where two detainees were killed and one injured. Investigators later discovered that the words “anti-ICE” were scrawled on a stripper clip of ammunition found near the body of the suspected shooter, 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.

The second incident was the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, which has fueled nationwide debate over the role of political rhetoric in escalating tensions.

“Democratic leadership needs to look closely at the violent language coming from their side and make it clear that political violence has no place in America,” Vance said. He warned that unless both parties address inflammatory rhetoric, such attacks will continue to threaten public safety and democratic discourse.

The Vice President’s comments add to the growing calls for bipartisan accountability in de-escalating a deeply polarized political climate.
