Video circulating online shows firefighters responding to a large fire at a building believed to house the bank’s digital operations facility. Emergency crews were seen battling flames and navigating debris outside the structure late at night.

Bank Sepah plays a central role in Iran’s financial system and is widely known for processing salary payments for government security institutions, including members of the Iranian military and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). (

According to multiple reports, the strike hit a facility connected to the bank’s data center operations while it was handling payroll processing for military personnel. The damage has reportedly disrupted services and could temporarily prevent the bank from issuing salary payments to regime forces. 

Iranian officials condemned the strike and warned that economic and banking infrastructure connected to the United States or Israel could become targets for retaliation across the region.
