Drone images captured by photographer Michael Busch reveal miles of submerged roads, with residents facing dangerous travel conditions and rising concerns about coastal safety. Officials have urged beachgoers and boaters to stay away from the water, warning that strong rip currents and high surf will persist for the coming days.

Local authorities have also reported coastal flooding in low-lying neighborhoods, with emergency crews responding to stranded motorists and residents attempting to navigate flooded streets. Tides remain above normal, intensifying the risk of property damage in vulnerable areas.

The National Weather Service has cautioned that conditions could worsen, particularly during high tide cycles. “Even though Hurricane Erin has weakened, its remnants continue to pose a serious threat to coastal communities,” the agency stated.
