The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said two Hezbollah militants were killed in targeted strikes in southern Lebanon, as Israeli forces continue operations aimed at enforcing security understandings along the northern border.

According to the IDF, the strikes were carried out by Division 91 and targeted operatives involved in Hezbollah’s military and logistical activities. One militant was killed in the village of Yatar while allegedly engaged in rebuilding Hezbollah infrastructure damaged during earlier fighting. A second operative was struck in the Bint Jbeil area, where the IDF said he coordinated both military and economic activities for the group, including the seizure of property for Hezbollah use.

The military said the individuals’ actions constituted violations of the Israel–Lebanon understandings reached following the November 2024 ceasefire, which sought to limit Hezbollah’s presence and operational capabilities near the border.

A third strike was conducted around midday, the IDF said, adding that the results of that operation remain under review.

Video released by the IDF shows drone footage of a precision strike on a vehicle traveling along a rural road, followed by an explosion and fire. Israeli officials said the footage demonstrates the use of targeted aerial tactics designed to neutralize specific operatives while limiting collateral damage.

The IDF reiterated that it will continue to act against what it described as threats to Israel’s security and vowed to prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing military infrastructure in southern Lebanon amid ongoing regional tensions.
