President Donald Trump has issued a direct appeal to members of Iran’s security forces, urging them to lay down their weapons and turn against the ruling regime as U.S. military operations against Iranian targets continue to intensify. In a video statement released during the ongoing campaign known as Operation Epic Fury, Trump addressed members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian military, and national police forces, calling on them to abandon the regime and stand with the Iranian people.
In his message, Trump warned that those who continue to support the regime’s military apparatus risk being killed as the conflict escalates. He urged Iranian personnel to act before it is too late, describing the moment as a historic opportunity for the people of Iran to reclaim their country from what he portrayed as a repressive leadership. The president framed the call as both a warning and an invitation, encouraging defections in exchange for the possibility of safety and a new future.
Trump’s remarks come amid an expanding U.S. military campaign targeting Iranian military infrastructure, particularly facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Since late February 2026, U.S. forces have conducted a series of airstrikes aimed at degrading Iran’s missile capabilities, command structures, and elements of its nuclear program. The operation was launched after escalating regional tensions, including Iranian missile attacks on Israel that triggered a broader military response involving both American and allied forces.
