Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, expressed strong support for the Invest America Act during a White House event, highlighting its potential to reshape American wealth over the coming decades. Speaking about the legislation, Dell said, “In a few years, essentially every child in America will have savings invested in the greatest companies in this country, and that will change the face of this country over the next 10, 20, 30 years.”  

The Invest America Act, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz in May 2025 as S.1718, proposes the creation of tax-advantaged “Invest America Accounts” for newborns. Each account would receive a $1,000 federal seed investment at birth, automatically invested in S&P 500 index funds. Families would be able to contribute up to $5,000 annually, with access to funds restricted until the child reaches age 18.  

Dell framed the initiative as a transformative tool for long-term economic empowerment, emphasizing how early investments in top-performing U.S. companies could provide future generations with significant wealth accumulation and financial stability. Proponents argue that the program could broaden equity ownership, foster a culture of saving and investing, and help reduce wealth disparities over time.  

During the White House event, Dell underscored that universal participation in such accounts could alter the economic trajectory of millions of American families, creating a lasting impact on both the national economy and society as a whole. The Invest America Act continues to gain attention from policymakers and business leaders seeking innovative ways to promote financial literacy and intergenerational wealth.
