Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday, accusing him of focusing more on opposing former President Donald Trump than addressing the nation’s pressing budget issues.

Appearing on Wake Up America, Marshall discussed the looming budget showdown in Washington, warning that Schumer’s delay tactics could stall meaningful progress.

“This is all about Schumer’s obsession with Trump,” Marshall said, suggesting that political maneuvering is taking priority over bipartisan problem-solving.

The remarks come as lawmakers face heightened pressure to reach an agreement and avoid a potential government funding crisis. Republicans argue that Democrats are dragging their feet, while Democrats point to GOP divisions and policy disputes as key obstacles.
