Shocking surveillance video captured a violent smash-and-grab robbery at the Kim Hung jewelry store in San Jose, California, where an 88-year-old store owner was assaulted by a gang of masked thieves.
The attack happened in broad daylight around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the San Jose Police Department. The elderly owner was beaten during the robbery and later suffered a stroke as a result of the assault.
The thieves rushed into the store, smashing display cases and grabbing jewelry while the victim tried to defend his business. Authorities confirmed that the suspects fled the scene with stolen items before officers arrived.
