ISRAEL — A Houthi drone crashed near a hotel in the Red Sea city of Eilat this morning, leaving 22 people wounded, including two in serious condition, according to Israeli authorities.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the incident and said an investigation is underway to determine how the drone entered Israeli airspace and whether additional security measures are needed.

Eilat, a popular tourist destination, has remained on high alert amid escalating regional tensions and repeated cross-border threats. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to assist the injured and secure the area.

Officials have not yet confirmed whether the hotel itself was the intended target, but the crash underscores ongoing concerns about Houthi capabilities and their reach beyond Yemen.
