BEIRUT — U.S. envoy Morgan Ortagus and CENTCOM commander Vice Admiral Brad Cooper conducted a tour of southern Lebanon aboard a Lebanese army helicopter, according to officials.
The visit underscored ongoing U.S. support for Lebanon’s armed forces and highlighted Washington’s continued engagement in the region amid rising security concerns.
By joining Lebanese military officials on the aerial tour, Ortagus and Cooper were briefed on conditions along the southern border, where tensions remain sensitive.
