A brazen theft at Lark’s Music in Teaneck, New Jersey, was captured on surveillance cameras, showing a man shoplifting two vintage mandolins. The incident occurred when the suspect, browsing the store, became interested in a beautiful mandolin displayed on the wall. After taking a quick photo of the instrument on his cellphone, he pulled the mandolin from its display and concealed it inside his jacket.

The surveillance footage shows the man glancing around the store before reaching for a second mandolin, which he also hid in his jacket. Both instruments were removed without the store staff immediately noticing.

Authorities are reviewing the video to identify the suspect and recover the stolen instruments. The incident has raised concerns among local business owners about security in small retail music shops and the need for heightened surveillance measures to prevent similar thefts.
