Ukrainian Drones Torch Russia's Largest Wildberries Warehouse Near Moscow

A massive fire tore through Russia's largest Wildberries warehouse overnight in the village of Koledino near Moscow, after Ukrainian forces struck the sprawling 200,000-square-meter logistics complex with long-range drones. Moscow Oblast Governor Andrey Vorobyov described the assault as one of the most massive drone attacks the region has faced in recent memory, saying air defense and electronic warfare systems intercepted roughly 187 drones across towns including Podolsk, Domodedovo, and Odintsovo. A second logistics hub, the Severnoye Domodedovo facility, was also engulfed in flames during the same overnight barrage, with Vorobyov reporting one person killed and at least six others injured in the strikes.

The Koledino strike is the latest and largest blow yet in a sustained Ukrainian campaign against Wildberries, Russia's dominant online retailer, which Kyiv says doubles as a logistics backbone supplying drone components and other sanctioned military hardware to the Russian war effort. Ukraine's Fire Point defense company confirmed the strike was carried out using domestically produced FP-1 long-range drones. Since the campaign began in mid-July, Ukrainian forces have hit more than twenty Wildberries facilities across Russia, with analysts estimating the company has already lost roughly a third of its total warehouse capacity and combined losses for Wildberries and its independent sellers reaching close to twelve billion dollars.

For ordinary Russian shoppers and small sellers who rely on Wildberries much the way Americans rely on Amazon, the repeated strikes are becoming impossible to ignore, turning what was once a distant front-line conflict into a disruption showing up in delayed deliveries and vanished inventory. The company has already taken defensive measures, including barring warehouse staff from carrying smartphones over fears that workers could inadvertently document strikes in progress. As the fires in Koledino and Domodedovo continue to smolder, the attack stands as a stark signal that Ukraine's war-fighting strategy has shifted decisively toward squeezing the everyday economic infrastructure that keeps the Russian home front running.
