Iranian officials in Hormozgan Province say overnight U.S. strikes severely damaged critical water infrastructure serving the city of Kuhestak and 10 nearby villages in the Beman district. According to local authorities, the attacks destroyed two major concrete water reservoirs and related mechanical installations, disrupting drinking water access for approximately 20,000 residents across the affected area.

Provincial officials reported that the damaged facilities included reservoirs with capacities of 500 and 2,000 cubic meters, describing them as essential components of the region’s water distribution network. Iranian authorities estimate the financial damage at roughly $850,000 and claim water service has been completely cut off while emergency efforts are underway to address the disruption.

The reported strike adds another layer of tension to an already volatile regional security environment. Iranian media outlets have characterized the facilities as strategic infrastructure critical to civilian water supplies, while the allegations are likely to intensify international scrutiny as questions emerge regarding the extent of the damage and its impact on local communities.
