BNEI BRAK, ISRAEL — In a rare and meaningful encounter, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee met with HaGaon HaRav Dov Landau, a senior rabbinic authority in the Haredi Jewish community, during a visit to the ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak.

Ambassador Huckabee, known for his deep Christian faith and longstanding support of Israel, expressed respect and admiration for the role of Torah study, even when juxtaposed with the country’s strong emphasis on military service.
