According to local reports, ICE agents conducted multiple enforcement actions across the region on Wednesday, January 14, including one near a residential construction site in Montebello. Witness Eddie Huerta said agents arrived at a house across the street just as workers were preparing to break for lunch, triggering immediate panic at the site.

Video from the area captures two workers climbing a ladder and fleeing onto adjacent rooftops, jumping from house to house in a desperate attempt to avoid detention. The footage underscores the physical danger posed by sudden enforcement actions, as the men navigated elevated rooftops with little regard for personal safety.

Initial reports from ABC7 stated that no one was detained during the incident. However, subsequent reporting confirmed that five individuals were ultimately taken into custody following the rooftop pursuit, as part of broader ICE operations targeting worksites throughout Southern California.
