In a renewed humanitarian push, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have successfully parachuted 25 tonnes of vital aid into the Gaza Strip, marking their first airdrop in months, according to a Jordanian official speaking to Reuters.

The coordinated airdrop operation is a response to the intensifying humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where access to basic necessities like food, water, and medical supplies has become severely restricted due to ongoing conflict and border limitations.

Aid packages—containing essentials such as food, medicine, and hygiene supplies—were dropped over designated safe zones in Gaza, aimed at reaching civilians most in need, especially in areas where land convoys face obstacles or delays.

This latest mission signals a possible resumption of regular airdrops by regional allies and underscores growing international concern over conditions in the enclave. Jordan and the UAE had previously halted air deliveries amid operational and security challenges but now appear determined to resume their role in supporting Gazan civilians.
