TEL AVIV — About 400,000 Israelis gathered in Hostages Square and nearby streets, demanding an immediate end to the war in Gaza and the return of hostages still held by Hamas.

The demonstration, one of the largest since the conflict began, drew families of hostages, peace activists, and everyday citizens calling on the government to prioritize negotiations over continued fighting.

Chants of “Bring them home!” echoed across the square as demonstrators carried signs urging a ceasefire and a political solution to the crisis. Organizers said the sheer size of the rally underscored growing public frustration with the government’s handling of the war.
