IDF Scores Major Victories: Hezbollah Tunnels Destroyed, Top Terrorists Eliminated in Gaza, False Kidnapping Alarm Resolved

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to deliver strong blows against terrorist threats on multiple fronts. In southern Lebanon, troops from the 551st Brigade and the Yahalom Unit dismantled two additional Hezbollah underground tunnel routes in the Majdal Zoun area within the security zone. These tunnels, totaling around 200 meters in length and reaching depths of 20 meters, contained living quarters, launch shafts aimed at Israel, and dozens of weapons including mortars, launchers, and RPG rockets. An armed terrorist was also eliminated near the site during operations.

In Gaza, the IDF eliminated Rashid Al-Qadhi, a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad production commander responsible for manufacturing weapons used against Israeli forces and civilians. Separately, Hamas sniper operative Abdullah Baha al-Din Razak Al-Souti was taken out in northern Gaza. Additionally, Waheed Abu Salam, a commander involved in the October 7 massacre and hostage-holding, was eliminated in a precise strike due to his ongoing efforts to plan attacks.

In a positive development from Judea and Samaria, police quickly resolved a suspected kidnapping in the Gush Etzion area. An IDF servicewoman was found safe after entering a vehicle with Palestinian plates. The investigation revealed she and the driver were a couple, and the case has been referred to Military Police. These operations demonstrate the IDF’s relentless commitment to protecting Israeli civilians and soldiers from ongoing threats.
