Authorities in Grand Blanc, Michigan, confirmed that all victims have been “accounted for” following a deadly attack at a Mormon church that left four people dead and several others injured.

The incident unfolded Sunday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where the suspect set fire to the building before being fatally shot by police. While Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye initially cited five deaths, he later clarified that the number included the suspect himself.

At least eight additional victims were reported wounded in the attack, and their conditions have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer urged the public to remain calm and avoid fueling rumors as investigators continue to piece together what led to the violence. “Theories can be downright dangerous,” Whitmer said, calling on residents to “lower the temperature of the rhetoric.”

Local and federal authorities are continuing their investigation into the attack, which has shaken the Grand Blanc community and sparked renewed concern over public safety in places of worship.
