In a striking display of battlefield innovation, Ukraine has begun deploying anti-drone net tunnels along key logistics corridors to protect supply routes from Russian FPV (First-Person View) drone attacks.

A 62-second dashcam video circulating online shows vehicles safely driving beneath the mesh-covered tunnels, which are designed to entangle and disable incoming drones before they can strike their targets. The structures have been widely implemented since July 2025 across frontline regions such as Zaporizhzhia, according to reports from Euromaidan Press and Defence Blog.

The tunnels, often constructed from repurposed agricultural or fishing nets, provide a low-cost yet highly effective defense against one of Russia’s most persistent threats on the battlefield.

Military analysts describe the tactic as an example of Ukrainian adaptability and ingenuity, combining simple materials with practical engineering to mitigate the growing challenge of drone warfare.

As drone attacks continue to shape the dynamics of modern combat, Ukraine’s “net tunnel” approach is quickly being recognized as a model of low-tech innovation meeting high-tech warfare.
