Three people are dead after a car slammed into a food truck in Queens on Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed.

Police say the crash occurred when an 84-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, striking two pedestrians before colliding with the food truck. The pedestrians killed include a 70-year-old man and another victim whose identity has not yet been released.

Emergency responders rushed all three victims to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The food truck operator and other bystanders were not seriously injured, though several witnesses were treated for shock at the scene.

The NYPD is investigating the cause of the crash, including whether medical issues, mechanical failure, or other factors played a role in the tragedy.
