Egypt delivered 12 heavy machines, including bulldozers and excavators, to the Gaza Strip on October 26, 2025, through the Kerem Shalom crossing. The equipment is intended to help clear rubble and reopen blocked roads following months of intense fighting that left large portions of Gaza in ruins.
According to reports from the border coordination teams, the convoy entered Gaza under Egyptian supervision, marking one of the largest transfers of construction equipment since the conflict’s escalation. The move is part of a joint effort to facilitate debris removal and recovery operations in heavily damaged urban zones.
Israeli authorities have acknowledged that some of the machinery will also support the search and recovery of Israeli hostage remains in areas previously under Hamas control. Security coordination between Israel and Egypt remains active to ensure that all equipment entering Gaza is used strictly for humanitarian and reconstruction purposes, not for military use.
Egypt’s involvement highlights its continued role as a regional intermediary, balancing humanitarian assistance with security cooperation alongside Israel. The delivery comes amid ongoing international discussions about post-conflict stabilization and controlled rebuilding in Gaza, ensuring both aid delivery and security oversight.
For Israel, the operation represents a practical step toward clearing areas for investigation and recovery, as well as a reminder of the complex coordination required to manage humanitarian aid within a war-torn territory under strict monitoring.
