The Israel Defense Forces reported Tuesday that four members of a terrorist cell in Rafah were killed and two others surrendered after attempting to flee through an underground tunnel in the Janina neighborhood.

According to the IDF, Nahal Brigade troops identified the group during operations in the area. Soldiers discovered one dead militant inside a building and engaged three additional armed suspects, who were subsequently killed. Two more individuals were located nearby, surrendered, and were transferred to the Shin Bet for interrogation.

The incident occurred amid ongoing operations targeting tunnel networks and militant movements in southern Gaza.
