WASHINGTON, D.C. — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan praised the United States and President Donald J. Trump for their role in securing a historic peace agreement with Azerbaijan, marking the end of decades of conflict between the two nations.

“Today, we have reached a significant milestone,” Pashinyan said. “We are laying a foundation to write a better story than the one we had in the past. This breakthrough would simply not have been possible without President Trump's personal engagement.”

The remarks came during a White House summit where Pashinyan joined Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to sign peace and economic accords, opening new pathways for trade, energy cooperation, and cultural exchange in the South Caucasus.

Pashinyan’s statement reflected a spirit of optimism, framing the agreement as both a symbolic and practical turning point for Armenia’s future and regional stability. International observers have hailed the deal as a rare and hard-won diplomatic triumph.
