Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel is “on the brink of a very big achievement,” expressing hope that all hostages held in Gaza could soon be returned.
In a video statement released on Moitzei Shabbos, Netanyahu said he believes that, with continued effort and divine help, Israel may soon be able to bring home “the living and the slain” who were taken captive.
“It’s still not final. We are working hard on it,” the Prime Minister said. “I hope that, with Hashem's help, in the coming days, even during Sukkos, we will be able to announce the return of all the hostages — the living and the slain, in one go, with the IDF still deployed deep in Gaza.”
The remarks come as Israeli forces maintain their operations in Gaza, while diplomatic and intelligence efforts reportedly continue behind the scenes. Netanyahu’s statement signals that negotiations may be reaching a critical point, offering renewed hope to families who have long awaited news of their loved ones.
If realized, this development could mark one of the most significant moments since the conflict began, potentially shifting the course of events in the region.
