Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan announced a sweeping new directive under President Donald Trump’s administration to deploy 10,000 additional ICE agents nationwide — marking one of the largest expansions of federal immigration enforcement in U.S. history.  

“We’re gonna blow this historic number [of deportations] out of the water next year!” Homan declared. “We gotta look for that 10.5 million illegal aliens that came across… in addition to 15 million already here! Border Patrol is backstopping ICE… record arrests and removals this fiscal year.”

According to Homan, the new wave of enforcement agents will prioritize high-risk offenders, gang members, and recent border crossers but will also extend operations to previously overlooked sanctuary cities and jurisdictions refusing federal cooperation. The initiative comes as part of President Trump’s intensified campaign to restore border integrity, dismantle cartel networks, and fulfill his longstanding promise to “make this country safe again.”

“President Trump told me to get the job done — and that’s exactly what we’re doing,” Homan said. “The message is clear: if you’re in this country illegally, your chances of staying just dropped dramatically.”

The expansion builds on record-setting enforcement numbers reported earlier this year, with ICE and Border Patrol coordinating more closely than ever before under the Department of Homeland Security’s integrated operations strategy. Officials say the new deployment will enable faster removals, stronger coordination with local law enforcement, and broader coverage across key urban centers.

Administration insiders confirm that the surge of agents will be supported by new detention facilities, expedited court procedures, and advanced data-tracking systems designed to identify and remove illegal entrants more efficiently. The Trump administration has also urged Congress to approve additional funding for border security infrastructure, deportation transport logistics, and immigration court staffing.

Critics from the left have already denounced the move as “mass deportation policy,” while supporters hail it as a long-overdue act of national self-defense. Polling continues to show strong public support for immigration enforcement, particularly among working-class and suburban voters who cite rising border crossings and strained local services as major concerns.

Homan brushed off criticism, emphasizing that this is about law, order, and protecting American citizens. “Every deportation is a promise kept,” he said. “We’re enforcing the law. We’re defending the border. And we’re making America safe again.”

The large-scale ICE deployment is expected to begin early next year, coinciding with a broader administration push to reduce illegal immigration, deport criminal offenders, and fortify America’s national security posture in 2026.
