The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced today that it has completed a significant wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah’s “Radwan Force” in southern Lebanon. The operation, carried out under the Northern Command and with the Israeli Air Force, targeted multiple weapons depots and terror infrastructure sites belonging to the Iran-backed militant group.

According to the IDF, the targeted locations were used by Hezbollah operatives to rebuild military capabilities and prepare for attacks against Israel. Intelligence gathered over recent weeks indicated that the Radwan Force had been working to restore its operational readiness, in direct violation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon.

Prior to the strikes, the IDF implemented strict measures to minimize civilian harm, including preemptive evacuation of surrounding populations, real-time aerial surveillance, and the use of precision-guided munitions. Despite these precautions, the IDF confirmed that many of the targeted weapons depots were deliberately placed by Hezbollah inside civilian neighborhoods—a tactic long condemned by Israel and international observers as the group’s cynical use of human shields.

“The Hezbollah terrorist organization continues to endanger innocent Lebanese civilians by embedding its terror infrastructure within their communities,” an IDF spokesperson said. “These actions not only violate international law but also directly threaten the safety of both Israeli and Lebanese citizens.”

The IDF reiterated that it holds the Lebanese government responsible for preventing terrorist activity on its soil and for maintaining compliance with international border agreements. The military emphasized that operations will continue as necessary to dismantle Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure and eliminate any threats to Israel’s northern communities.

“The IDF will continue to act decisively to protect the State of Israel,” the spokesperson added. “Any attempt by Hezbollah to rebuild or rearm will be met with a firm and immediate response.”

Today’s strikes underline Israel’s resolve to maintain security along its northern frontier amid rising regional tensions.
