Crews from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to a three-alarm fire on December 18, 2025, at a condominium complex on Cartagena in Aliso Viejo, successfully containing flames to three units while preventing spread to four additional residences.

Firefighters faced heavy fire involvement upon arrival, yet were able to quickly coordinate containment efforts and mitigate further damage. No human injuries were reported during the operation.

Demonstrating attention to pet safety protocols, firefighters rescued three dogs from the blaze. One dog was led out on a leash from inside a unit, while two others were found unharmed in an outdoor kennel.
