Senior Trump adviser Stephen Miller declared that the last 11 months have been “the most successful 11 months in the history of the American presidency,” pointing to sweeping gains on border security, public safety, and economic performance under President Donald Trump.

Speaking on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, Miller said the administration has fundamentally reversed years of decline, stating plainly: “The border is slammed shut, crime is plummeting, illegals are going home, and America is for Americans again.” The remarks came during the Christmas season, a symbolic moment highlighting what supporters see as a dramatic national turnaround.

Official data supports many of the administration’s claims. U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports seven consecutive months of record-low illegal border encounters, including zero releases into the interior, with encounters down roughly 92 percent to about 8,400 in September. The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed more than 605,000 deportations since January, alongside an estimated 1.9 million self-deportations.

On public safety, data from the Council on Criminal Justice shows violent crime down approximately 8.8 percent year over year, with rates in major cities now below pre-pandemic levels. Miller credited aggressive enforcement, support for law enforcement, and the restoration of consequences for criminal activity.

Economic indicators were also highlighted. The U.S. economy posted a 4.3 percent GDP surge in the third quarter of 2025, while gas prices hovered around $2.85 per gallon during the holiday travel season. The administration points to growth in exports, manufacturing, and domestic energy production as evidence of renewed economic strength.

Miller also emphasized national security and industrial revitalization, citing new military initiatives such as the Golden Dome missile defense project and the Golden Fleet battleship program, alongside expanded domestic manufacturing tied to defense and infrastructure.

While critics argue that some trends predate the current administration and raise concerns about labor shortages tied to mass deportations, supporters say the results speak for themselves. For them, the data reflects a clear shift toward sovereignty, security, and economic confidence.

As the administration closes out its first year, Miller’s message was unequivocal: Trump’s America First agenda is delivering measurable results, reshaping policy, and redefining presidential success.
