Gen. Wesley Clark Urges Iranian People to Rise Up and Overthrow the Ayatollah Regime
Retired General Wesley Clark, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, has openly discussed the potential for the Iranian people to rise up against the oppressive Ayatollah regime. In a recent interview, Clark highlighted the internal weaknesses and growing instability within Iran, suggesting the population could seize the moment to push for real change. This comes as the Trump administration continues its maximum pressure campaign, which has significantly weakened the regime’s finances and global influence.
Clark has previously spoken at Free Iran events and expressed support for democratic opposition platforms, including the NCRI’s 10-point plan for a secular and democratic Iran. His comments reflect a growing consensus among serious national security voices that the current Iranian regime is vulnerable and that empowering the Iranian people represents the best path forward. Decades of theocratic rule have brought nothing but poverty, repression, and terrorism to the region.
With strong leadership from President Trump and continued pressure on the regime, the prospects for a free Iran are brighter than they have been in years. The Iranian people deserve to live without the boot of the Ayatollahs on their necks. As internal cracks widen, the combination of external pressure and internal resistance could finally bring an end to one of the world’s most dangerous dictatorships.
