MYKOLAIV, Ukraine — A wave of deadly shelling hit the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv yesterday, leaving widespread destruction and multiple civilian injuries, according to Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

The strike damaged 23 private houses, 12 apartment buildings, 6 vehicles, a post office, and a construction materials store. At least seven people were injured, with emergency responders on-site throughout the night.

The assault is part of a continued campaign targeting Ukraine’s urban centers, raising new concerns over civilian safety as frontline fighting intensifies.
