Fox News aired an exclusive interview between President Donald Trump and Sean Hannity immediately following the historic Alaska Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In the sit-down, Trump described the meeting as a turning point in U.S.-Russia relations.
“The meeting was a very warm meeting between two very important countries — and it’s very good when they get along,” Trump said. “I think we’re pretty close to a deal. Now look, Ukraine has to agree to it.”
The remarks, coming just hours after Trump and Putin announced an “understanding” on ending the Ukraine war, highlight the president’s optimism about securing a breakthrough while underscoring the importance of Ukraine’s role in any final agreement.
