MOUNT HERMON, SYRIA — The Israel Defense Forces’ 810th Battalion (210th Division) conducted a raid in the Mount Hermon area of Syria, arresting multiple suspects linked to arms smuggling operations, the military confirmed.

During the operation, soldiers seized more than 300 weapons, which officials said were intended for smuggling into Israel and the Golan Heights.

The IDF stated that the raid was part of its ongoing mission to disrupt cross-border arms trafficking and safeguard Israeli communities.

“This operation underscores our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the people of Israel and the Golan Heights,” an IDF spokesperson said.

The Mount Hermon region, bordering Israel, Syria, and Lebanon, has long been a hotspot for smuggling networks and militant activity, making it a strategic priority for Israeli security forces.
