A U.S.-owned electronics manufacturer was nearly destroyed in Mukachevo after Russian missile strikes hit the facility, Ukrainian officials reported.
The company, which produces home appliances and consumer electronics—not military equipment—was deliberately targeted, according to local authorities. “Russians knew exactly where they lobbed the missiles. We believe this was a deliberate attack against American property and investments in Ukraine,” one official stated.
The strike raises concerns over Moscow’s widening campaign against foreign economic assets in Ukraine. Analysts warn that targeting American-owned businesses could escalate tensions with Washington, as it strikes directly at U.S. investments in the region.
No immediate reports of casualties were confirmed, but the plant sustained severe damage, forcing production to a halt. Ukrainian officials are calling on international partners to condemn the attack as a violation of international norms and an assault on civilian infrastructure.
