Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned Russia’s latest assault on Kyiv, calling it the largest aerial attack since the war began and a dangerous test for the international community.
On Sunday, Russia launched a record number of drones and missiles at Ukraine’s capital, killing at least two people and igniting a fire on the roof of a key government building. Thick smoke was seen rising across the city as emergency crews rushed to contain the damage.
“This record-breaking massive drone attack is proof that Putin is testing the world,” Zelensky said, urging Western allies to strengthen air defense support and maintain pressure on Moscow.
The unprecedented strike underscores Russia’s escalating campaign against Ukraine and highlights the urgency of continued international backing for Kyiv’s defense.
